The Memorandum on Central European EDIH Cooperation was signed on 1 May 2025 in several cities across Central Europe, including Brno, Vienna, Krakow and Bratislava. “The Cybersecurity Innovation Hub is based in the very heart of Central Europe, and since we have been working very closely together in the Czech EDIH network since the start of our projects, and have also run a five-part EDIH Twister - a series of joint introductory bilateral meetings with EDIHs from other countries, it was only natural for us to initiate the conclusion of the Central European EDIH Memorandum,” says CIH Chief Coordinator Tereza Šamanová.
Objectives of the Memorandum
The signatories commit to::
-
• Cooperate on joint events aimed at promoting EDIH services to potential clients
-
• Organise cross-border networking and cooperation with key subjects
-
• To carry out mutual visits and excursions to exchange experiences
-
• Share best practices across the five participating countries
-
• Together seek funding for the proposed activities
Signatories
Signatories make up around one sixth of the entire European EDIH network, representing a significant potential for sharing know-how and providing cutting-edge services in the field of digital innovation. At the same time, other EDIHs have already expressed interest in joining, e.g. from Ukraine, where 11 new hubs have been established since last year.
