The new Cybersecurity Act (ZKB) was published in early August, marking the start of a new era of cybersecurity regulation in the Czech Republic. In the first part of the webinar, we will focus on key changes, particularly regarding the expansion of the scope of obligated entities, new obligations under NIS2, the implementation timeline, and practical implications for security management and risk management.
From a legal perspective, we’ll explain what’s changing compared to the current situation and how to prepare. We’ll also show you how we can help—whether technically or organizationally.
The following will explain the legislation to you:
Václav is the deputy director at CyberSecurityHubCZ. He earned his master’s degree in law from the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University and completed his doctoral studies by defending his dissertation on the topic of cybersecurity in the Czech Republic. He remained at the faculty, specifically at the Institute of Law and Technology, as a faculty member. He teaches courses such as Cybercrime, Cybersecurity Law, and Introduction to ICT Law.
In the second part of the webinar, we will introduce you to the CyberRangeCZ expert group, which aims to improve the preparedness of cybersecurity professionals. Their freely available CyberRangeCZ Platform allows participants to test real-world cyberattack scenarios—in real time and in a secure environment. The exercises help improve team coordination and communication and explain technical, procedural, and legal processes. We’ll show you how the exercises work and which organizations they’ve already helped.

Previously, he worked as a cybersecurity engineer, consultant, and cybersecurity manager on the Masaryk University Cybersecurity Team.
