Czech and Ukrainian EDIHs join forces to support digital transformation
On October 28, 2025, a memorandum on Czechia-Ukraine cooperation between European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) was ceremoniously signed. The memorandum represents a significant step towards strengthening cross-border cooperation between the Czech and Ukrainian innovation ecosystems in the areas of digitization, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and green transformation.

The memorandum was initiated by the Cybersecurity Innovation Hub (CIH) – the only Czech EDIH focused primarily on cybersecurity. The aim of the agreement is to support long-term cooperation between Czech and Ukrainian EDIHs, share experience and knowledge, jointly develop innovative activities, and build a resilient digital society.
Goals and areas of cooperation
The cooperating parties have agreed to develop a partnership based on mutual trust, shared values, and common goals. The cooperation focuses primarily on:
• Joint events and networking to promote EDIH services and develop links between Czech and Ukrainian businesses and organizations.
• Exchange of experience and best practices in the field of digital transformation, artificial intelligence, HPC, and cybersecurity.
• Study visits, professional internships, and excursions between Czech and Ukrainian digital innovation centers.
• Joint preparation of projects and acquisition of financial resources for the development of activities in the field of digitization and innovation resilience.
The memorandum also opens up opportunities for the involvement of a wider range of partners and organizations from the innovation ecosystems of both countries.
Signatories
Five Czech and eleven Ukrainian EDIHs, which are listed in the European Commission's official European Digital Innovation Hubs catalog, have signed the memorandum.
A step towards a digital and innovative future
By signing the memorandum, the Czech and Ukrainian EDIHs confirm their commitment to cooperate in strengthening the European digital space and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and public institutions in introducing advanced technologies and increasing their digital maturity.
The memorandum became effective on October 28, 2025, and is concluded for an indefinite period.
