On Thursday 12 June 2025, we welcomed a delegation from the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, led by State Secretary Tobias Gotthardt, at the Advanced Chip Design and Research Centre (ACDRC). The morning meeting focused on discussions on the development of the semiconductor industry and European cooperation.
On the morning of 12 June, State Secretary Tobias Gotthardt and Dr. Patricia Callies, Head of Industry, from the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, visited the ACDRC premises in Brno. The guests expressed their interest in the activities of the Czech National Semiconductor Cluster and in connecting with the Czech semiconductor ecosystem. The delegation was welcomed by the Cluster President Stanislav Černý and other representatives of academia and experts in research and development in the field of chips, cybersecurity and education.
In addition to the activities in the field of chip technology development in the Czech Republic and Bavaria, the discussion also covered the ESRA (The European Semiconductor Regions Alliance) initiative - an alliance of European regions with a proven semiconductor industry, in which both parties are actively involved.

The Advanced Chip Design and Research Center (ACDRC) was opened on Friday, October 18th in the premises of CyberSecurityHubcz (CSH) in Brno. The Centre was established as a concrete initiative to develop relations between the Czech Republic and Taiwan.
The Advanced Chip Design Research Center (ACDRC) was inaugurated on June 11, fostering collaboration between Taiwan's NARLabs and the Czech Republic's Cybersecurity Hub to enhance integrated circuit design talent and semiconductor development.
